Kelly Green Named To 2014 Women of Influence in the Food Industry
HENDERSON, Colo. — Birko, a leader in providing food safety solutions to the meat, produce and brewery industries, today announced that its chairman and owner, Kelly Green, has been named to the 2014 list of Women of Influence in the Food Industry, by The Griffin Report of Food Marketing.
“Kelly has made a substantial contribution to the food industry, as well as to the success of Birko,” said Mark Swanson, Birko’s CEO. “We’re very proud of her.”
Honorees were chosen by The Griffin Report for their contributions to the food industry, their professionalism and the awareness they have generated for the potential of womens’ careers in the food business.
Green is the third generation owner, chairman of the board and VP of business development for Birko. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Colorado and an Executive MBA from Colorado State University. Green is a member of Vistage International, a global network for chief executives, and a past board member for the North American Meat Association, and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council-West.
