HENDERSON, Colo. — Birko, a leader in providing food safety solutions to the meat, produce and beverage industry, today announced that Owner and Chairman of the Board, Kelly Green, will participate as a panelist at Colorado State University’s “Summit on Advancing the Agriculture Economy Through Innovation,” Thursday, March 19.
Green will be joining other industry leaders to discuss the global food system being built upon the convergence of people, animals, products and the environment.
The workshop is scheduled for 3:10-4:00 p.m., in the Lory Student Center on the CSU campus.
Green was recognized as a 2014 Woman of Influence in the Food Industry by The Griffin Report of Food Marketing. She was also named a finalist for the 2012 and 2014 Outstanding Women in Business award, sponsored by the Denver Business Journal. Under Green’s leadership, Birko was ranked #24 in the 2014 Top 50 Family-Owned Companies by ColoradoBiz magazine, and Birko was a 2013 Top Company Winner by ColoradoBiz magazine.
