Henderson, Colo. – Birko Brewery Specialist Dana Johnson will serve as a judge at this year’s Great American Beer Festival, October 6-8, 2016, at the Colorado Convention Center.
Johnson will join other brewery experts to award gold, silver, and bronze medals in each of the judging
categories.
Johnson has contributed a number of articles for publications such as Zymurgy and The New Brewer and he is the current President of the Rocky Mountain District of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas (MBAA).
As a formulation chemist and home brewer since 1989, Johnson’s expertise includes custom chemicals for craft brewers, keg cleaning, and brewery clean-in-place.“I’ve always had a passion for beer and brewing, so it’s truly an honor for me to be asked to judge at this premier event,” Johnson said. “I love being able to make such a positive impact on the brewery industry through Birko’s sanitation solutions and chemistry formulations.
