Poultry Antimicrobial Chemicals for Food Processing Plants

Birko has developed a patented antimicrobial intervention for poultry processors. Designed for specific use in fighting pathogens, Chicxide® has tested effective in reducing Salmonella. It is ideal for poultry on-line reprocessing (OLR) and provides additional emerging pathogens control.

Poultry Processing Food Safety Intervention

Birko’s formulations for poultry processors include Chicxide®, an innovative lactic acid- and citric acid-based antimicrobial intervention approved by the USDA for use on whole carcasses pre-chill. We also carry EPA registered sanitizers for eggshell sanitation.

Birko carries Emech F3 and F5 systems to ensure temperature accuracy in poultry processing. These systems are especially useful in processing chicken paws.
